Pool Guidelines

Pools are considered structures and need to adhere to the zoning setback requirements for their zone.

• View the Town's Zoning map.
• Access the Town Zoning By-laws Section defines the setbacks for your zoning district (Pages 21-26). 
• All pools, except those specifically exempt as outlined in 780 CMR - 421.1 (a copy of the law can be found by accessing the following links), require a building permit which can be applied for through the Town's Online Permitting software.
