Roadway Maintenance Projects:
Liberty Utilities Gas Main Replacement:
Liberty Utilities will begin replacing the gas main on Park St. (from School St. to North Washington St.), North Washington St. (from Park St. to the Plainville Line along Route 1), and Summer St. Expect short detours throughout this area as work progresses. Chestnut St. Sidewalk & Drainage Project:
Construction will begin on Chestnut St. between Route 1 and Elm St., focusing on drainage work first, followed by sidewalk replacement. Expect delays and detours down Elm St. with local traffic allowed through. The Contractor will also begin sidewalk replacement on Chestnut St. between Mt. Hope and Elm St. Temporary “No Parking” signs will be placed in areas of work. Vehicles must be moved by 7 AM to avoid towing. The project is expected to take 2-3 months.
