Community Invited to Attend Webster Mill Cleanup & Safety Information Session

Home Posted on July 15, 2025

The Town of North Attleborough invites community members to an informational meeting regarding the upcoming cleanup of the former Webster Mill property.

WHEN:

Tuesday, July 22, at 5:30 p.m.

WHERE:

Amvet Boulevard School Auditorium, 70 Amvet Boulevard

WHAT:

Representatives from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP), along with department heads, will provide a brief overview of the upcoming cleanup of the former Webster Mill property.

The meeting will cover the project's scope of work, safety measures and next steps. Community members are encouraged to attend and ask questions.

As part of this project, the EPA will demolish the remaining structure and remove the contaminated debris from the site. This project is expected to be completed in early fall. Community members can expect to see heavy machinery and workers in protective clothing while work is ongoing. There should be little to no traffic detours or delays on Broadway.

Out of an abundance of caution, the EPA will conduct air quality monitoring during active work to ensure the health and safety of those in the area.
