The North Attleborough Fire Department is pleased to announce that three firefighters were recently promoted to leadership positions, each bringing a collective 81 years of firefighting experience to their new positions.

At a Town Council meeting on Monday, Feb. 9, Capt. Michael Bristol was promoted to deputy chief, Lt. Curt Chretien to captain, and Tucker McGree to lieutenant.

“With these three promotions, we are bolstering our leadership team with a remarkable 81 years of combined firefighting experience,” said Chief Coleman. “Their expertise, dedication, and mentorship will be an incredible asset to our department and the community we serve.”

Deputy Chief Michael Bristol

Bristol, a 25-year veteran of the department, will replace Deputy Chief Chabot, who retired at the end of January.

Deputy Chief Bristol began his career in the fire service as a firefighter/paramedic in 1999 with the Plainville Fire Department. He went on to join the North Attleborough Fire Department in 2001. Since joining the department, Deputy Chief Bristol has advanced to lieutenant, EMS coordinator and inspection captain assigned to Fire Prevention. He most recently served as the shift captain assigned to Bravo Platoon.

He is currently a member of the North Attleborough Local Emergency Planning Committee, where he works to strengthen the town’s emergency preparedness and response. He is also a member of the department’s Dive Team.

Capt. Curt Chretien

Capt. Curt Chretien stands as the department’s longest-serving member, with an impressive 38 years of service to the North Attleborough community.

Over the past 27 years, he has held the rank of lieutenant, providing steadfast leadership and mentorship within the department. Capt. Chretien has frequently served as acting captain, further showcasing his experience and readiness to lead. In addition to his extensive leadership background, he is a certified EMT, underscoring his commitment to both emergency response and public safety.

Lt. Tucker McGree

Lt. McGree brings 13 years of service to the North Attleborough Fire Department. Alongside his firefighting career, Lt. McGree has worked as a data analyst for the National Fire Protection Association, contributing to national safety initiatives.

He has previously served as an acting lieutenant, demonstrating leadership within the department. Lt. McGree is a certified paramedic and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Notre Dame University.

A swearing-in ceremony will be held in the spring. Details will be shared once finalized.
