The Health Department would like to inform community members of proposed changes and updates to the Board of Health’s Septic Management Regulation (Title 5).
The proposed changes and updates primarily correct and add language to reflect increased Health Department roles, the e-permitting and digital submissions process, and clarify Shared Systems. Language was added to Title 5 requiring that Accessory Dwelling Units adhere to Title 5 regulations. Click here to review the proposed Board of Health’s Septic Management Regulation (Title 5).
The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection mandates that health departments host a public hearing regarding any proposed changes to Title 5 regulations. Community members are invited to attend the Hearing on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 6:00 p.m.
