We are happy to announce a major milestone in our community's water supply system. The Adamsdale Well has received approval from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to resume operations with a new PFAs Removal Treatment System.
Over the past few months, our dedicated team at North Attleboro's Department of Public Works (DPW) has been hard at work, ensuring that the Adamsdale Well is restored to its full capacity of 1MGD (Million Gallons per Day). This means that we will continue to be able to provide the community with an ample supply of clean and safe drinking water!
With the Adamsdale Well up and running, we're delighted to announce that Fluoride will be reintroduced from the west side of Town, following the DEP prescribed rate of 0.7mg/l. Fluoride is an essential mineral that helps promote strong dental health for all residents, particularly for our children.
Your safety is our top priority! We are pleased to share that sample results from the well show that PFAs (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) are at non-detectable levels. This ensures that the water quality meets the highest standards and regulations.
We began the process of slowly filling and introducing the necessary chemicals through the plant. Our aim is to have the well fully operational by Thursday August 2nd.
