If you or someone you care about needs outpatient mental health support, remember that you are not alone, and you do not have to figure everything out by yourself. North Attleborough is pleased to offer access to INTERFACE, a no-cost mental health resource and referral helpline provided by William James College.
What is INTERFACE?
INTERFACE connects community members (kids, adults, families) with mental health and wellness services — helping with:
- Finding outpatient therapists or other kinds of outpatient services
- Navigating the system (what’s available, what works for you)
- Matching you with providers based on your preferences, insurance, schedule, and more
How it works:
Step | What Happens |
| 1. Intake Call | You dial the helpline (888-244-6843) and have a confidential chat with a trained counselor. They’ll ask about your concerns, preferences, insurance, schedule, etc. The intake generally takes about 15-20 minutes. After the intake is completed, you will be assigned a case number to use with both INTERFACE and potential provider match(es). |
| 2. Matchmaking | Within a few business days, an INTERFACE counselor will introduce themselves and start finding provider matches from a database of over 10,000 licensed providers across the state. |
| 3. You Get the Details | You’ll receive information about providers (names, credentials, location, contact, how to connect) once a match has been identified. They’ll also give you guides to help. INTERFACE aims to provide at least one match as quickly as possible; however, at times it can take up to 3 weeks to find a match. |
| 4. Follow-Up | About 1-2 weeks later, your counselor will check in to see how it’s going and whether you were able to connect with the provider or if you need more help. |
| 5. Referral Closure | Once there is a successful match, the INTERFACE resource and referral counselor will close the referral process. |
Why Use It?
- It’s free for all North Attleborough residents
- Helps cut through confusion: which services are out there, how to access them
- Available to residents of all ages, including kids, adults, families
