[ARCHIVED] Town-Wide Hydrant Flushing to Begin on Sept. 16

The North Attleborough Public Works Water Division will begin flushing fire hydrants on Monday, September 16, at 10 p.m. The project will continue Monday through Thursday each week for approximately ten weeks. Flushing will begin at the Ellis Avenue area and proceed through the Hickory Road/John C. Porter area. This schedule is dependent on weather conditions.

This maintenance activity is being performed to maintain water quality throughout the system. Minor discoloration of water may result in the areas where flushing operations are occurring. Residents should refrain from doing laundry if discoloration of the water is observed. If you experience discoloration, run your cold water until the water clears. This may take several minutes. If the discoloration does not clear, please contact the Water Division. While flushing operations are occurring, there may be pressure fluctuations in the adjacent neighborhood. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our residents. Should you have any questions, please call the Water Division at 508-695-7790.
